31 May 2015: Reminder that Test 1 (for Atlanta-based students) will be administered on Tuesday, 8 June 2015. DL students will have a 1-week window (until 15 June 2015) to take the test. For planning purposes, Test 2 will be administered on Thursday, 25 June 2015, and Test 3 will be administered on Thursday, 16 July 2015.

25 May 2015: Homework 1 will be collected on Tuesday, 2 June 2015. Pick a real (current or historical) satellite in an inclined, elliptical (e>0.1) earth orbit. Write a short summary of the history and use of this satellite. Calculate and plot the sky track for an earth station based in Atlanta (or other location if the application demands it). |

13 May 2015: There will be no in-class (or video) lecture for Tuesday, 19 May 2015. Instead, use this time to review the following basic electromagnetics topics in preparation for the unit on radio wave propagation:
