 MARNET

Welcome to the home of MARNET, bringing the world wide web to other worlds, by Tushar Thrivikraman. This website explores the implementation of a high-speed communication network for Mars. An interplanetary network would provide the first step to the eventual goal of a manned missions to Mars. Currently, even with the vast amount of information known about the planet, there is still much to learn that can only occur through exploratory missions. A communications network would help lower costs of the subsequent Mars missions since the communications infrastructure would be present. Also, due to the high performance of this link, the speed of data sent from Mars would yield higher quality information(i.e. ability to capture more data or at higher resolution). Please continue on to the introduction section to learn more about this proposed network.
