 Satellite Orbit

 The orbital design of this satellite system consists of 6 Geostationary Mars Orbit (GMO) relay satellites above mars. The main calculation for this section is the radius of the GMO orbit. This can be determined from the following equation (1).

Ts Mars Sidereal Day 88642 sec
Mmars Mass of Mars 4191e23 kg
G Gravitational Constant 6.672e-11 Nm2/kg2

The value of a GMO orbit was determined to be approximately 17030km. A 3D plot of the orbits is shown in Figure 18.
