The satellite antenna will initially be contained in a 1 m diameter and 5 m long cylinder which will not be deployed until the satellite arrives at its destination. Upon deployment, the reflector will be made of a 10 meter metal mesh similar to the 72 foot diameter antenna launched on the Skyterra-1 and fed by an offset source from the front of the dish. The large antenna will give sufficient gain for the journey as show in the link budget section.
