Project Goal: The goal of our project team is to advance the scientific knowledge in the field of radio frequency bi-directional satellite communication at millimeter wavelengths. Our specific objective is to study the effects of communication at V-band (71-76 GHz downlink channel) and W-band (81-86 GHz uplink channel) wavelengths. Our system will be part of a larger spacecraft host and will help to statistically characterize atmospheric propagation physics at both the W and V bands to help support the assessment and design of future operational military satellite communication systems.
