Martian Positioning System (MPS)
Budget and Timeline:
The bottom line up-front is that in order to meet our October 2009 launch dates, the project will cost $955,379,643 and two cents.
The planning, preparation, implementation and human resources required to put any aircraft into space takes and enormous amount of time and money. Multiplying that task by 6 (number of launches) makes this process even more cumbersome, but there is no other way around that fact as a single launch vehicle would require an enormous amount of fuel and even more careful calculation that could end up in a catastrophic event should problems arise.
