Conclusions

This mission is possible with current space-proven technology, however, the transit time makes the mission not feasable.  Power system, and communications systems are all mature enough to support a mission of this magnitude.  The recommendation of the study is to further invest and develop efficient methods of interstellar propulsion.  The advanced concepts section of the propulsion section suggests that it is possible to make the trip to Epsilon Eridani in several hundred years.  However, such methods need to be proven in the space environment before investing in building this spacecraft.
