Deep Space Network

The Deep Space Network (DSN) is a network of large parabolic antennas, mainained by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and intended for deep space communications. The network comprises three main locations: Goldstone, California; Madrid, Spain; Canberra, Australia. Each location comprises several antennas, from 26 to 70 meters of diameter. The use of three different complexes around the world allows for a round-the-clock visibility of any point in space.

Our mission will use the 34m diameter antennas, cheaper to operate than the 70m ones.
